Procedure for the transfer of credits
Previously acquired credits may be considered for your current study program. As such cases tend to be highly individual, please reach out to the Examination Board to discuss your case.
In regular cases, the application consists of the following parts:
- A cover letter containing all the necessary personal data (full name, address, HU email, degree programme and study regulations, matriculation number) as well as a justification of your request. Do not forget to sign this cover letter. Alternatively, you can use this template.
- A form where you enter the courses whose credits you would like to transfer and where you should make a proposal (with the exception of the grade!) on which module a course you propose should be transferred to. Please find the form here.
- The certificates of the credits obtained.
- The course descriptions.
Once your application has been processed, the Examination Board will inform and hand over your documents to the Examination Office. In case of approval, the Examination Office will book the credits in your account. Please note the minimum processing times announced on the homepage of the Examination Board.
