Women’s Promotion Programme of the Geography Department (as of June 2019)
We support women in their academic and professional careers. The funding should provide sustainable impulses for equality and the elimination of underrepresentation of women at the Geography Department.
In principle, all women who are students, employees, and scientific staff at the Geography Department of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin or who can prove an associated fellowship or scholarship are eligible to apply.
We promote:
- Measures to increase your visibility in your discipline / professional field (active participation in conferences, proofreading, a grant for publication such as open access or printing subsidy)
- Measures to support your research process (research stays, fieldwork and guest research visits)
- Method qualification (e.g. MaxQDA, SPSS, GIS) and other training, provided they cannot be obtained through the in-house training of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
Preference is given to women who have not received funding in the past two years. Depending on the availability of the funds, and depending on the format, the maximum grant is between 150-350 EUR.
The committee reserves the right to decide on a case by case basis.
Please use the application form (DE / EN)
Applications can be submitted to the following dates: 20 January / 20 April / 20. July / 20. October
